CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Your Changing Robe will retain its waterproof properties for longer if you follow our guidelines. Check out our detailed care instructions and tips on how to care for your changing robe and how to use your changing robe zip.

Between uses:

Does not need regular washing
If covered in mud or sand, gently brush it off & wipe clean with a damp sponge.
If damp when put away, remove from storage as soon as possible to prevent mould. Do not store wet for a long time.
Dry at room temperature between uses
Never expose to heat sources e.g. fires, radiators etc.

If machine is wash necessary:

If absolutely necessary, this garment is machine washable; however, we recommend washing by hand.
To prevent compromising the efficacy of the waterproof outer shell fabric & waterproof membrane, washing should be limited.
Wash your Changing Robe inside out, with all zips closed to protect the shell and waterproof membrane
Put inside a Guppyfriend Washing Bag to reduce the flow of microfibres into our water systems.
Gentle, cool wash at 30℃, with a mild detergent & line dry out of direct sunlight (do not tumble dry or dry clean)
Wash separately
Do not use fabric softener
Do not bleach
Ironing not recommended. If absolutely necessary use a garment steamer or the steam function of iron, not allowing the iron plate to touch the fabric’s surface. Alternatively, try hanging your robe in the bathroom when you're having a hot shower, as the steam will help relax any creases.

Replenishing water-repellency:

This garment is treated with a Bionic Finish® Eco PFC-free durable water-repellent coating, allowing water to bead-up and roll away.
After lots of adventures, or after having been washed several times, it may be time to put on another finish on the shell of your Changing Robe with a DWR treatment such as NikWax.

Pull your arms through the sleeves of the robe straight after emerging from the water.
Then use the towel-like lining to actively dry yourself by patting down your body with the inner material, using the hood of the robe to dry off your hair.
Zip up the robe to give you some privacy. Be careful not to catch the fabric of the robe in the zip. Vivida robes have two-way zips to let you open the bottom of the robe for extra movement room if you need it.
Pull your arms inside the body of the zipped up robe - this is why it's important that your robe size is large enough!
Strip off your wet swim gear and pull your dry clothes on within the privacy and warmth of the robe.
Top tip: there's a large pouch at the bottom of Vivida robes where you can stash your dry clothes for easier access!
